Small children have about twenty good minutes in them, and so do most adults. The session is built to get what it needs and stop before anyone stops enjoying it.

The usual questions
How much is it and what do I get?
$195 for a 30-minute outdoor session and 10 fully retouched images in a private online gallery, in both web and print sizes. There is no separate sitting fee and no per-image charge on top.
How many people can be in the session?
As many as you like — the price is per session, not per person. Grandparents, cousins, and the dog are all welcome, though a very large group is easier in a park than on a sidewalk.
How quickly do we get the photos?
Within five days. Family sessions produce more images than a headshot does and I edit every one of them myself, so five days is a date I can hold rather than a number that sounds good.
Will this be ready in time for holiday cards?
If you book by the middle of November, comfortably. October and early November are the best light of the year here and also the busiest weeks of my calendar, so earlier is better.
What should we wear?
Coordinate, do not match. Pick two or three colors that sit well together and let everyone choose within them. Avoid big logos and busy patterns. I send a short guide once you book.
What if it rains?
We move you to the next slot that works, free. Sessions are non-refundable but you can reschedule with 48 hours' notice at no charge.
When do you shoot?
Weekends, outdoors. Book at least seven days ahead — the calendar opens a week out, so same-week dates are not available.
Do you photograph at preschools and schools?
Yes. On-site school photo days are a separate service with its own page — individual portraits, class groups, and staff headshots, indoors or outdoors, on a weekday.
