Priority for Program Deadlines

Long before you take the stage, your photo has already done the work. The conference program publishes it nine months out. The podcast booker screenshots it for the show calendar. The speaker bureau makes it the largest element on your one-pager. A working speaker is photographed first, heard second — every time.

The photo has to carry the room before you do.

Where Your Speaker Headshot Does the Work

Conference Programs & Event Microsites

Your headshot lives on the event microsite the moment the program is announced — sometimes nine months before you take the stage. It is the first impression every attendee, sponsor, and press contact forms about you.

Podcast Cover Slots & Show Notes

Podcast guesting is a quarterly cycle for working speakers. Every show wants a clean, square portrait for the cover slot. A consistent, high-resolution speaker photo is the asset you reuse across the whole booking cycle.

Speaker Bureau & Booking Agent Surfaces

Speaker bureaus and booking agencies publish a one-pager for every speaker on their roster. Your photo is the largest element on that page. A polished portrait shortens the path from a corporate buyer's first scroll to a booking inquiry.

Book Jackets, Tour Press & Author Microsites

Authors with active speaking circuits need press-ready imagery for the book jacket, the publisher's catalog, the tour landing page, and the bookstore-event flyer. We deliver in the format the publisher requests, the first time.

Masterclass, Workshop & Cohort Landing Pages

If you run a paid masterclass, cohort program, or workshop, your portrait does the work of building trust before the sales page even loads. A confident, present photo lifts conversion measurably on the hero block.

LinkedIn, Substack, & Personal Brand

The speaker headshot is the asset that anchors your LinkedIn, your Substack, your bio across every platform. A consistent portrait across surfaces builds the recognition that drives repeat bookings.

The Speakers We Photograph

One studio, many speaker profiles. Each shoot tunes the lighting, styling, and tone to the program the photo will face.

Keynote & Conference Speakers

Industry conferences, corporate-event keynotes, summit headliners. The photo lands first on the program; the talk lands later.

Panel Moderators & Panelists

Moderating or contributing on stage — the panel page typically shows four to six photos at equal weight. A consistent, sharp portrait keeps you visible on a crowded grid.

Podcast Hosts & Recurring Guests

Show-cover slots are square, tight, and stage-bright. We shoot specifically for the podcast aspect ratio so you stop borrowing your LinkedIn shot for every booking.

TEDx Speakers & Featured Talks

TEDx, conference talks, and curated-speaker programs publish portrait, talk title, and bio together. A clean, expression-led photo makes the talk thumbnail worth clicking.

Authors With Active Speaking Tours

Book jackets, publisher press kits, tour landing pages, and bookstore-event flyers in one shoot. We also pair well with our personal-branding tier.

Personal branding tier

Masterclass, Cohort & Workshop Leaders

If your business is a paid masterclass or cohort program, the photo on the sales page is part of the offer. We treat the portrait as a conversion asset, not a profile pic.

Executive Coaches & Trainers

Coaches and trainers blend speaker, author, and consultant. The session is built to deliver the keynote photo, the LinkedIn anchor, and the program landing-page imagery together.

Founder-Speakers & Operator-Voices

Founders running an active speaking and podcast cadence on top of operating a company. Often paired with our founder vertical.

Speaker Styling: Stage Presence, Authentically You

Stage-Ready Wardrobe

  • Solid, deep colors photograph best under stage lighting (navy, charcoal, jewel tones, black)
  • Bring 2–3 outfit options — the keynote look and the panel look are often distinct
  • Skip busy patterns, plaids, or stripes that moiré on conference video screens
  • Signature touches matter — a recognizable jacket, scarf, or pocket square anchors your brand across years of events

Color & Fit

  • Tailored beats brand — a $200 alteration outperforms a $3,000 loose-fitting jacket
  • Tops with structured shoulders read confident on a stage-program crop
  • Watches and jewelry: minimal, quality, no novelty pieces
  • Avoid loud logos that date — your photo should be reusable for 18–24 months

Hair & Grooming

  • Clean, recently styled hair — get a cut 5–7 days before, not the morning of
  • Groomed facial hair if you keep it; clean shave if you don't
  • Optional: a makeup artist for camera-ready skin and matte finish — recommended for video stills
  • Skin: hydrated, well-rested — stage-lighting-style photos amplify everything

Expression & Presence

Speakers carry the room. The photo has to read that way — engaged, present, slightly forward, ready to take the stage. We coach the expression on set against your actual stage persona, not a generic 'professional smile' brief.

Speaker Headshot FAQs

I'm an emerging speaker — is the $349 LinkedIn session enough?

For your first paid gigs, often yes. Three sharp retouched images on LinkedIn and your speaker one-pager outperform a more expensive shoot that arrives six weeks late. You can upgrade to Conference Portraits or a Keynote Session once you have a confirmed event program to plan around.

Can you deliver square, vertical, and landscape crops from one session?

Yes. Every speaker package includes the three crops conference organizers actually ask for — square (program), vertical (event app), landscape (sponsor decks and press). We label the files so your event-coordinator email is a one-click forward.

Can you work against a conference-program deadline?

Yes. Tell us the program lock date at booking. We'll schedule the session so the 24- or 48-hour delivery lines up with the organizer's deadline. We've shipped against major-conference program locks and book-tour press deadlines.

Do you photograph authors for book jackets?

Yes — Keynote & Author Sessions and Personal Branding are both designed to include book-jacket usage. We deliver in the print-ready format your publisher requests, with multiple looks so the jacket photo and tour press photo can read distinctly.

I want a 'signature look' I can use for years. Can you shoot to that brief?

Yes. A signature speaker photo — same lighting, same wardrobe energy, same expression read — is one of the strongest brand assets a working speaker can hold. We plan the session against a multi-year reuse horizon when that is the goal.

Do you do speaker reels and short-form video stills?

The Speaker Brand Day tier includes short-form video stills (frames from a B-roll cycle). Full speaker-reel video production is a separate scope — we partner with NYC videographers when needed and can coordinate the combined shoot.

How early should I book before a major keynote?

Two to three weeks of lead time lets the photo land before the event organizer locks the program. One week is enough if the schedule works. Same-week is possible on Keynote Session priority delivery — call us.

Do you shoot in hotel ballrooms or conference venues?

Yes — on-location across Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens, including hotel meeting spaces, conference centers, and event venues. We bring full studio lighting so the location reads as a deliberate brand frame, not a snapshot.

Lock the Speaker Photo Before the Program Goes Live.
