Twenty minutes, before the sugar
Kids in costume are at their best for about a quarter of an hour. The session is short on purpose: in, a few setups, out, and everyone still having fun.
The best backdrop of the year
Late October is peak color in Van Cortlandt Park and Riverdale. Orange leaves behind a witch, a dinosaur and a very patient dog is hard to beat.

How much is it and what do we get?
$95 for a 20-minute outdoor session and about 10 retouched images in a private online gallery, in web and print sizes. You reserve with a $50 deposit and pay the $45 balance on the day.
Until when can we book?
Sessions run through Halloween, October 31 — weekends, plus weekday evenings while there is still daylight. Booking closes two days before a session.
Can grandparents, friends or the dog join?
Yes. The price is per family session, not per person, and pets in costume are very welcome.
Do the grown-ups have to dress up?
Only if you want to. Matching family themes photograph wonderfully, but kids in costume with parents in fall colors works just as well.
When do we get the photos?
Within five days, so they are back before Halloween night if you book by the 24th.
What if it rains?
We move you to the next open slot before Halloween, free. Sessions are non-refundable but you can reschedule with 48 hours' notice at no charge.
