Coming from campus
Sessions are shot in Van Cortlandt Park and Riverdale, which puts five Bronx campuses inside a short ride. No travel fee, because you are coming to the neighborhood I already shoot in.
Manhattan University
The shortest trip of any campus here. Manhattan College Parkway sits at the 242nd Street stop on the 1 — the same stop as Van Cortlandt Park, so the session is at the end of your own block rather than a trip.
Lehman College
250 Bedford Park Blvd West. The Bx9 runs from the campus gate up to Van Cortlandt Park; the 4 train at Bedford Park Blvd–Lehman College connects at Woodlawn.
College of Mount Saint Vincent
Riverdale, ten minutes north. Sessions are outdoors, so there is nothing to carry beyond what you plan to wear.
Fordham University
Rose Hill is a straight run west on the Bx9 or Bx12. Weekend slots suit anyone whose week is already spoken for.
Bronx Community College
University Heights. Transfer applications and internship profiles both want the same photo, and one session covers both.
Questions
Why is it $65 when your other headshots are $149?
Because it is twenty minutes instead of thirty, outdoors in my own neighborhood, with no studio rent priced into it. The $65 Stroll & Shoot is the same Leica, the same light and the same retouching as the $149 Outdoor Headshot. If you want the longer session with more frames and a second outfit, the Outdoor Headshot is $99 for a first session with code NEW50.
Is one photo really enough for LinkedIn?
For LinkedIn, yes — the profile shows one square crop at about 400 pixels, and recruiters see it at the size of a thumbnail. What matters at that size is a clean background, even light on your face and an expression that looks like you. Twenty minutes is more than enough to get that right.
I'm applying to grad school, not jobs. Same thing?
Same session. A program portal, a residency application, a fellowship page and a departmental bio all take the same file, and the gallery comes with the crops already made. Tell me what it is for when you book and I will shoot a little wider so there is room to recrop.
What do I wear?
One solid mid-tone color beats a pattern, and a collar reads more finished on camera than a crew neck. Skip large logos and bright white — both pull the eye off your face. You will get a short written note on this after you book; send a photo of what you are considering and I will tell you which one to wear.
Can my club or cohort book together?
Yes, and it is usually the cheapest way to do it. Six or more people in one block gets a group rate and can be shot on campus rather than in the park — send me the group size and your rough window through the contact page and I will quote it.
What if it rains?
You move to the next weekend slot at no charge. Overcast is genuinely fine — soft flat light is flattering, and most of the frames people end up using were shot in it. Only real rain moves a session.
